There are certain" local" bloggers that I wanted to highlight today. These are very special people who are either involved in very special work or in situations that requires special consideration and prayer.

Dean and Carole Turner are dear friends of mine who are in the process of adopting their second biracial child. They are a loving family who are fearlessly and faithfully taking steps to see that these babies have a chance at living in a environment that is filled with purpose and hope. Shane Comeaux is a contractor who is based in Iraq. His work is essential in the war effort to win over the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. I met him for the first time in person at church this weekend and I can tell you that he is a very gifted and talented young man. I would ask that you would keep him in your prayers while he is away. And lastly, their is George and Robin Waites. George was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December. He had been receiving treatment and showing signs of improvement until the doctors recently discovered that the cancer may have moved to his liver.
