Actors against Terrorism

Nicole Kidman and Host of Other Hollywood Actors and Directors Make public Stand against Terrorism

Australia's Harald-Sun reports that actress Nicole Kidman has made a public stand against Terrorism.

Breaking Christian News.com
According to the article, the actress joined by 84 other high-profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls, has taken out a powerfully worded full page advertisement in today's Los Angeles Times newspaper, specifically targeting "terrorist Organizations," such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Hamas in Palestine.

"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die. We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs," the ad reads.

Some of the actors and directors sponsoring the ad include: Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Danny De Vito, Don Johnson, James Woods, Kelly Preston, Patricia Heaton, William Hurt, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Dick Donner and Sam Raimi.

84, I'm surprised the number is that high! Now if we could just persuade as many countries, or even "federal judges" with this mind set, we would see more progress in this fight against terrorism. ;)

Hey! I just found out that you Christians are the root cause of ALL Islamic Terrorism!

Maybe rather than making fun of actors, you could pray for guidance to learn to put a stop to all the terrorism that you created.

Barbie,
The root cause of ALL Islamic terrorism goes back "centures" before Sayyid Qutb's two year stay in America.

Apparently Mr. Qutb had a real problem with the success the church was having in the West. I believe he said that the churches in America were to "materialistic", operating as a business attracting clientel by advertizing resulting in a "good time or fun". Imagine that...church being fun!

No mention to the fact that millions of Arab immergrants were flooding into the States at that time, or that America supported Israel and other "free" Arab States, or "single mingling" going on with the opposite sex in public, at work, or on the DANCE Floor.

Terrorism is a product of evil, not Christianity. Christians may be guilty of many things but terrorism ain't one of them.

Bloodstomper, you need Jesus. The terrorist need Jesus - not church, the real Jesus. Jesus is the way to life here on this earth and after you leave it. He holds the keys to living life with meaning and purpose. I like the patriotic finger nails. That's cool. GW. Ron, keep up the good info.

I know that Patricia Heaton is a Believer. What about the other celebs? I wonder about any connection among them other than politics. I have a lot of respect for Patricia Heaton, but don't know where the other folks stand when it comes to Jesus... Anyone know anything along these lines??

Karen,
Good question! Unfortunatly, I have no info on the actors spiritual beliefs. I know that Tim Story has a big weekly bible study with prominate actors and directors in Hollywood, but even he is tight-lipped about who attends. Scientology has been mentioned alot in the news lately. Other than that, I really don't know.
